CREATING STORY MAPS

Esri Story Maps is a new product developed by Esri Industry. The product was created to provide a new format for users to display and tell their story in a spatial way. It lets you combine authoritative maps with narrative text, images, and multimedia content. They make it easy to harness the power of maps and geography to tell your story.

CREATE A TAMU ARCGIS ONLINE ACCOUNT

ACCESS THE STORY MAPS APP

1. After login in, select the menu button on the upper right corner, then click Story Maps.

2. After entering the Story Maps page, it will look something like this.

2. If you haven’t created any stories with ArcGIS Story Maps, you’ll only see the Create new story box with the plus sign. Once you start working on a story, you’ll be able to access it here any time.

2. After you finished editing, you can preview your story to see what it will look like in published form on PCs and laptops, on tablets, and on cell phones. The Preview function is next to Publish.

3. When you’re ready to publish, click Publish.

4. When you click the Publish button, you will see sharing options.
